Aggius is surrounded by a wonderful chain of granite mountains, that even D’Annunzio called “Resegone aggese”.
Moreover, our country boasts to have been the siege of the District Court, to have compulsory school, the primary and secondary school, water supplies and sewage from the beginning of ‘900.
As a chemist working in this village, I am happy to add to these boasts a valuable service and to say that Aggius has its own chemist’s until the years 1948-1950 on behalf of Dr.Chemist Ezio Cotta.
In 1973 I took its ownership, calling it Farmacia Dr. Carta and locating it in Via Roma, 65. But years pass away and I have reached my age to elderly.
I have always been attracted by chemistry and even more pharmaceutical chemistry. I have always loved this beautiful village and I served my customers- patients with commitment and dedication. For six years, I have handed over the management of Farmacia Dr. Carta to my daughter, Antonia Balbitu, Doctor of Pharmacy and graduated as nutritional consultant. She collaborates with Doctor of Pharmacy Ester Virdis. The role of the pharmacy in small towns as Aggius is primarily to inform, to advise and to treat its patients.
The two pharmacists deal with physiotherapy, homeopathy in full agreement with the wonderful nature and healthy climate in which AGGIUS is immersed.
