The SEZIONE COMBATTENTI E REDUCI DI AGGIUS 1919 was founded by veterans of the Great War, in the footsteps and in the wake of the Combatants and Veterans association. More than a historical establishes the date of the birth of ‘A.N.C.R. on November 4, 1918. In a short time, and in many parts of Italy, such Aggius, it is witnessed the formation of numerous sections that gathered a large number of subscribers, whose members shared a program.
In the first program approved in 1919, it was proclaimed the absolute independence from any political party, not giving up ensuring political and social action of the fighters in the country, for all their sacrifices during the war and for their consequential damages. They proclaimed themselves as bearers of new ideas and reality.
During the spring elections of 1924 thirty veterans included in the national list were elected. In the years of Fascism the National Committee of ‘A.N.C broke up, and the association was given to federations and the sections to fascist’s commissioners. This happened in the post-war period.
After World War II, a similar situation occurred. Men of these two generations appear, in terms of history, different in culture and education, but united by the dramatic experience of war.
The SEZIONE COMBATTENTI E REDUCI DI AGGIUS 1919 is an organization that aims to promote the cult of the Fatherland, of the war deads and their memory, the defence of moral values, the affirmation of the justice and the maintenance of the common peace, participation in social problems and their solution, the recognition of the rights of all the fighters. It aims at overcoming any difficulties of the life, a commitment that the association and the democratic institutions carry on, together with all those ones, who during the two wars and the others of modern times have lost their beloved. The Commemorations of Aggius section are on May 24 and November 4, the Victory Day.
